The Open Face 2.0 Sand Spike is a better/ newer version of the Open Face Spike. The top has a deep horseshoe shaped open design that is lined with Eva foam to keep your grips protected! The new bolt on bottom cup is 2” O.D. with and I.D. of 1-3/4” and 4” tall. The bottom cup has 4 pre-drilled holes for adjustability. Holes are drilled measuring from the top at 12”-14”-16”-18” so you can set these where you want them! All stainless steel bolt/washers/nut are used to secure the bottom cup to the 1.5” x.125” structural 6061 T-6 angle aluminum spike. A 12” x 12” micro fiber towel comes standard that clips to the bottom cup and can be removed for cleaning!

Outstanding product and customer service!

Deerfield products are solidly built to last and flat out perform as advertised. The sand spikes are superior quality and hold rods firmly in place in the surf whether it’s a big shark or drum or pompano bite. They are easy to use, store, & maintain, and are corrosion resistant and structurally superior. I would recommend Deerfield products to everyone - you will not be disappointed! 👍👍

Best Rod Holder Sandspikes ever!

I have been surf fishing for over 50 years and professionally guiding surf fisherman for the past 2 years. I have used a variety of sandspikes over the years. The Deerfield Sandspikes are by far the best I've ever seen. They are light but well made, easy to secure in the sand and stays secure, even with a big tug (still loosen those drags though...) I will be buying more in the spring! I highly recommend these and other Deerfield Products

Great sand spike

The open faced 2.0 sand spike is great. Love the adjustable cup. You can bury the spike deep into the sand so it will not get pulled over by a bull drum. This is my go to and favorite sand spike. I’ll be buying more. The craftsmanship on the build and welds is amazing.
